SL6B DJ Signup

Hi and thank you for your interest in DJ'ing at Second Life's 6th Birthday Party! 
Please use this form to indicate what days and times you are available to perform. Please select all times you are willing to work, and we will slot you into the best place for your time zone, audience and style. This year, we will have two stages running 24x7 for one week.

So what will be required of a SL6B DJ?
Glad you asked. We are looking for mature persons who can carry out a two hour DJ set and keep it within PG guidlines. How do you keep It PG? Simple. Songs that are or have been played on the radio or TV are fine. Also, be aware of your on-air language and monitor it for PG-ness. Finally, please note that this is a non-commercial event where advertising or sales are not allowed.
 
When does the event take place?
The entertainment will start on June the 23rd and will run til midnight on June the 30th. Starting time is a little vague right now because speeches etc. are still being pencilled in but we assume the DJ stages will go live at noon on June 23rd. Both stages will be set to run back to back DJ's 24/7. Each stage has a Region of its own and the music will go out to the full Region. We will not be parcelled off like last year. Anyone entering the Region will hear the DJ on stage.
 
Do you provide your own streams?
No. Streams shall be provided to all DJ's taking part. At no time will a DJ use their own personal stream. The reason for this is simple. There will not always be someone on hand to change land media and as the streams will be constantly passing this will ensure ease for all DJ's gettng on air. We are aiming to make the streams 128kbps/100 listeners. Each stage shall have a main stream and a back up stream. These are the only two streams that will be entered into the land media, so please ensure both are in your encoders.
 
Ok, so I am still interested, now what ?
Fill out this form, selecting all the times and dates you are available. We would also ask that you then join the SECOND LIFE BIRTHDAY group as announcements shall be made through there often. Do not worry if you are not contacted back instantly. We are not being ignorant or rude. All applications shall be considered and ALL applying DJ's shall be contacted with a decision either way. If you are accepted onto the schedule you will receive a group invite to the SL6B DJ's . Good luck everyone :)

I understand that by completing this form I agree to abide by the rules of the event and shall perform my set as PG. I agree that if during my set I am found to be breaking rules I can be removed from stage and replaced by a stand-in DJ . I further agree to use stream information provided and to contact an organiser as soon as possible if I cannot make my scheduled set.
