Creating an Application From Application Gallery

Zoho Creator's application gallery contains ready-made applications that you can start to use immediately. Some of the most commonly used applications like Project Tracker, Recruitment, Issue Manager etc., are provided as Templates in Zoho Creator. To see the full list of Templates, select App Gallery option and read the description of each template to see whether or not it meets your requirement. To know more about the application, select the Preview link available and view the forms and views in the application. To create an application from a Template,

1. Select the App Gallery option in the Create New Application dialog.
2. Name the application and select the required template.
3. You can create your application to be public, in which case the data can be accessed by public visitors and indexed by search engines (or) to be private. By default, the applications created in Zoho Creator are private and is accessible only by the owner of the application to view, add, modify and delete the records.
4. Click Create Now to create the application.

4. The new application with the specified name will be created based on the selected template.

- The forms created in the template application will be listed in the Forms Tab. Selecting a form name displays the form. You can add new fields to the form, add new forms, and modify existing forms.

 

- The views created in the template application will be listed in the Views Tab. Selecting a view name displays the view. You can add new views and modify existing views.

5. You can add data to your application by selecting the option Access the application. This will take you to the Live mode, where the owner of the application/ shared users can enter the form data. To share your application with users, refer the topic, Sharing Your Application.
