There will be an I Miss America Pageant every day during Burning Life 2008. Each pageant will be individually themed and everyone is free to participate. I Miss America contestants need not be female avatars, but female attire is encouraged when gowns and swimwear is worn.
The first night's pageant will crown Miss Abu Ghriab. Create the best pageant wear to capture your feelings about this prison. Be ready to answer a question. Please remember that this is a PG competition.

THE BURNING LIFE MOTIF - Your Most Logical Start of BL08
The event is to mark the true and real beginning of BURNING LIFE, separate and distinct from Burning Man Event. Though, inspired by Burning Man, BURNING LIFE most certainly has its own unique features and distinct identity: it is the Celebration of Virtual Art.
Therefore, we are positive you will join us in this event to assert the distinct identity of BURNING LIFE from now own, and to unhook it from Burning Man. As artists, we all appreciate Burning Man, but exactly the way we keep RL and SL separate, we assert a separate independent identity of BURNING MAN EVENT, an event for the virtual artists all over the globe.
To mark the first step in this direction, Zulqadi Saarinen has created a sculpture as an Monument and Icon of BURNING LIFE, and that we call THE BURNING LIFE MOTIF. It will be displayed on the event and will be distributed Free for all SL Community.
This Event is THE MOST LOGICAL START OF YOUR BURNING LIFE. And, you, and your friends, and their friends are most welcome. Join us in this moment of making history for Virtual Art.
